Our experienced clinical team of medical doctors, registered nurses and other healthcare professionals will guide members so they can make health decisions with confidence.

When a member calls, our Clinical Team will:

  • Obtain a detailed history and current health status and guide the member to contact their Primary Care Physician (PCP) or other healthcare provider, if necessary
  • Direct the member to the current recommendations from the CDC relevant to their situation
  • Direct the member to the current recommendations from their state and local public health departments
  • Provide educational materials based on the CDC recommendations regarding prevention of COVID-19
  • Guide the member to additional resources as needed such as counseling or community support
  • Discuss employer benefits coverage (if available)

In addition, our Nurses will help members with the following concerns:

Symptoms

The Nurses will complete a comprehensive intake and:

  • Discuss symptoms
  • Clarify infection risk factors as per current CDC guidelines
  • Help locate a PCP or other appropriate provider
  • Educate about telemedicine services
  • Guide to emergency care if appropriate

Exposure Avoidance and Hygiene

Nurses will educate members about:

  • Social distancing
  • Preventive measures such as proper handwashing
  • Tips for staying well

Testing/Labs

Members may have questions about how to get tested
Our Nurses will:

  • Review testing guidelines
  • Explain how testing is done
  • Research testing locations 

Pharmacy/Vaccination questions

The nurses will:

  • Help to make sure the member has continued access to their routine medications
  • Clarify treatment and vaccination related to influenza vs future development of therapies for COVID-19

Travel 

Members may be concerned about recent or upcoming travel, both domestic and international.
Our Nurses will:

  • Review the most current travel advisory information from the CDC regarding travel recommendations and restrictions

Work

Members may have questions about their employment or work status.
Our Nurses will:

  • Help the member understand whether restrictions may be in place depending on their location
  • Provide organization-specific details regarding benefit coverage (if available)
