Keep a healthy heart: little steps a big pay off

Take Advantage of Heart Healthy TipsAbout Health Advocate

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in America. The good news: there are many steps you can take throughout your day to keep your heart healthy.

Keeping your body moving in small ways—like walking to your coworker’s desk instead of emailing—is one way to help keep your heart strong. Likewise, limiting fat in your diet—switching from whole milk to skim, for instance—is another small, but significant prevention step.

In recognition of national Heart Health Awareness Month, and in partnership with HealthyWomen, the nation’s leading independent health information source for women, we’ve prepared an article that lists these and other everyday steps.
