Health Advocate EAP and Work/Life Program™
The Health Advocate EAP and Work/Life program features short-term, telephonic professional assistance and work/life support through a single phone number. Counseling focuses on coping skills to help employees manage personal problems, such as emotional issues, depression, marital/family problems and substance abuse. Referrals are provided for long-term counseling or specialized care. Work/life experts help locate support services such as eldercare, childcare, legal and financial counseling. A companion website and webinars are available. The goal is to resolve issues in early stages, decreasing absences and turnover.
Health Advocate NurseLine™
The Health Advocate NurseLine provides 24/7 access to registered nurses for advice, referral and self-care information, backed by a state-of-the-art clinical health database. Employees receive answers about symptoms and medications, home-care methods for non-urgent conditions, and can be transitioned to a PHA for in-depth help. NurseLine can reduce costly emergency room visits and help employees become informed healthcare consumers.
Health Advocate Tobacco Cessation™
Tobacco users’ medical costs are needlessly high, yet quitting is difficult and relapse rates are high. Health Advocate’s stand-alone Tobacco Cessation Program is a 13-week, low-cost program that provides unlimited, one-on-one support from trained specialists who use best-practice techniques, tailored to the individual. The comprehensive approach blends elements of programs proven to be successful. We can coordinate with employer-paid nicotine replacement therapy, and manage or provide data to employer-sponsored incentive programs. The program can be offered with our Core Advocacy service to help employees navigate healthcare issues, as well as with our Wellness Advocate program, featuring coaching to address lifestyle risk factors.

This feature uses data-driven analytics that stratify employees by age and gender and also identifies those with chronic diseases. The data enables us to create customized preventive communications for the general population and for those identified with specific diseases, to effectively address gaps

This program offers an independent, unbiased, third party, turnkey solution to help employers with self-funded plans meet federally mandated regulations and timelines for external appeals when members’ claims have been denied. We secure cost-effective, discounted contracts with outside, qualified Independent Review Organizations (IROs). Our team collects, documents and tracks required information. We provide all notices and reports, and manage each step of the review process conducted by the IROs to ensure timely responses, including expedited reviews when necessary, abiding by the regulations.
