How do we install Health Advocate? |
 |
Health Advocate has been designed to be easy for a sponsoring organization to install. We initially spend time learning your benefits, which we accept in most file formats. Once we have collected and reviewed your benefits information and eligibility file, we are ready to take phone calls from your employees and their family members. Our goal is to save you time — not create new workflows or processes.

What information does Health Advocate need to begin helping our employees/members? |

To best assist the members, Health Advocate should have the benefit summaries, plan documents and contact information for all coverages for the current plan year as well as the prior plan year. Having the prior year benefits allows us to assist members with claim and appeal issues. |

How frequently do clients need to update the information they send Health Advocate? |
 |
The coverage information should be updated annually, during renewal. It is helpful to receive a copy of the annual enrollment package as members will refer to those documents when contacting Health Advocate. |

What should I do when I identify an employee/member that needs Health Advocate’s services? |
 |
If you identify an employee who Health Advocate could assist, please provide them with Health Advocate’s toll-free number, 1-866-695-8622. Sometimes an employee is hesitant about contacting us directly. Please explain that their privacy is completely protected. Our staff is specially trained to handle each case with the utmost confidentiality. We follow careful protocols that comply with all governmental privacy standards to ensure that our members’ medical and personal information is fully protected and held confidential. |

Who should I contact if I need more member education material? |
 |
If you need more member education material or would like to discuss your communications plan, please contact your Health Advocate director of member education or sales vice president. Both can be reached at our sales and administration toll-free number, 1-866-385-8033. |

Can standard member education material be customized? |
 |
Yes; types of orders, design and printing costs. Any change in the design incurs a design cost, which is our direct cost passed along to the client. Printing costs. The printing component of custom materials will be billed directly to the client. We provide the client with a "credit" in the amount of what Health Advocate would have paid for our standard materials based on the number of members enrolled in our program. Depending upon the scope involved, custom orders can take 3-4 weeks to complete. |

Will Health Advocate work with a client to create custom communications material? |
 |
Yes, we’d be happy to work with you to create a custom communications piece. If we create the custom piece for the client, the design cost incurred will be passed along to the client. |

Are member education materials available in languages other than English? |
 |
We have certain items available in Spanish: Member Booklet, Awareness posters, Reminder Card, Tri-fold. If you would like to recreate a standard communications material in another language, we will be happy to supply a word version of the English text. |

Our Benefits Integrator is a stand-alone set of solutions designed to streamline and better coordinate access to an organization’s various benefits programs.
